About my university-level teaching
When I work with university students on their French studies, our main focus is usually keeping on top of the lightening-pace grammar taught in class. This can be a major challenge initially for many people. Universities like to keep the pace fast and demanding to ensure dedication from their students, which can leave some feeling like they have been thrown in the deep end! My goal is simple – build confidence by ensuring understanding has properly taken place before moving on.
Where grammar is not a problem I also assist university students to stay on top of other work they have been assigned; the reading of any texts can be done together with me, and I assist with exam preparation to alleviate cramming. I have materials to work with tertiary students on all skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Whilst my overarching aim is always to provide French study support, I also try and instill in my students a real love and enthusiasm for the French language and culture.
Please note that as a professional tutor I DO NOT simply complete tertiary tasks for students, but rather guide and support students to achieve the best possible outcome for themselves.
About my services to university students
My students come to my location in Mosman where I have a wealth of French teaching resources at my fingertips.
I see most students in a regular, weekly timeslot which remains the same throughout the tertiary term (illness and other commitments allowing). I provide extra sessions in the lead-up to exams or during the holidays if there is a need for more intensive work.
